Irish MMA pioneer Chris Fields added to KSW Dublin

Dublin's own Chris Fields (11-7-1) has today been officially added to the KSW 40 card at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland on October 22nd.

Fields was amongst the first wave of Irish fighters to make a splash internationally in the MMA world. After rising through the ranks and being involved in some of the most anticipated match-ups on the Irish scene, Fields won the Cage Warriors middleweight title in Amman, Jordan in 2012. Following on from this Fields remained one of the biggest names in Irish MMA and was a contestant on The Ultimate Fighter Season 19.

Now in the light heavyweight division, the 34-year-old is looking forward to competing on the first KSW event in Ireland and he is looking to showcase his skills and entertaining all the KSW fans around the world.

"I'm delighted to be fighting on KSW's inaugural show in Dublin" said Fields. "I'm looking forward to putting on a show for all the Irish and Polish fans and the Polish/Irish that have made Ireland their home. Expect fireworks!"

Fields' opponent will be confirmed in the coming days. Headlining KSW 40 will be an explosive heavyweight match-up between five-time world's strongest man Mariusz Pudzianowski and the hard-hitting James McSweeney and the co-main event will be anticipated rematch between Mateusz Gamrot and Norman Parke for the lightweight title.
